Landscape Photography

Portrait photography (also known as portraiture)  is a form of photography which is very common. Portraiture is a form of photography where you take photos of a person, but portraiture can also be done with a group of people. The reason portraiture is so common is because 1. taking photos of persons is just so basic that every one does it and 2. There are many functions for portraiture like magazines, products, websites, posters, books etc.

One of many great photographers is Annie Leibovitz, who focuses on doing portraiture photography mostly of celebrities. She worked with Rolling Magazines for 10 years.  Most of Annie's work is studio based because lighting is her main speciality.

Landscape Photography is another common form of photography which captures photos of vast environments such as valleys, cities, beaches, mountains and any large areas, typically showing a disturbance in the landscape like a town in a huge valley.

Max Rive is a famous landscape photographer who is known for taking astonishing photos of mountains in Europe. He often uses the middle line of the rule of thirds grid which keeps his galleries in theme in a way.  He seems to like dynamic lighting very much, as most of his images are edited to enhance the lighting very intensely. He tries to capture the themed textures close up somewhere around the image which then leads off into the  landscape. He also sometimes  includes a man in the most epic part of the photo  which gives the audience an idea of the scale of the landscape.
